Dr. Sukanya Patra brings extensive experience to the practice and remains committed to improving patient outcomes and upholding the highest standards of healthcare delivery.
Dr Patra did her MBBS, DGO from Calcutta University. She then went for higher studies and postgraduate training to England. She has worked in large teaching hospitals in the National Health Service (NHS) UK for almost 3 years. She has trained in Birmingham Women's hospital and St Mary's hospital, Portsmouth. She attained her postgraduate degree MRCOG (UK) from the prestigious Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists London in 1997. She has been awarded the FRCOG (Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists London) in 2025 for her ongoing contribution and dedication to the practise of obstetrics and gynaecology. She holds a postgraduate diploma in health research from Portsmouth University.
Dr Sukanya Patra is an experienced obstetrician and Gynaecologist practising in South Delhi for over 25 years. She has been running an independent clinic for obstetrics and gynaecology in Vasant Vihar, South Delhi dedicated to women's healthcare. She was a senior visiting consultant at the Rainbow Hospital Malviya Nagar, New Delhi, a superspeciality hospital exclusively for children and women's healthcare, Rosewalk hospital, Panscheel Park, New Delhi, a boutique hospital for maternity and gynaecology and various hospitals in South Delhi.
She has recently relocated from New Delhi to Kolkata and has started private practice here. She has joined Apollo Clinic Beliaghata as a senior Consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist and is available for consultation.
